I am a writer and adviser with expertise in governance, corruption, financial crisis and development. For the past year I have also been blogging about these issues, bringing out the current challenges of governance and capture that afflict rich and developing countries. Contrary to what technocrats are saying about regulatory or macro ‘fixes’, the current financial crisis is due to a major failure of governance, corruption and elite capture.
